So I just received the notice in the mail, they didn't text me like they did for the NOA1, but I'm still really excited! A few months ago I posted that I wrote on the original application to forward the application to the consul in St. Petersburg, not realizing that she would have to go to Moscow. A few people here assured me that they would forward the application to Moscow anyway. I'm so excited!

That's not correct....especially if she pays the right money to the right person. If you want, PM me and I can have Alla call her on the phone or Skype and give directions on what to do. The Police Certs are "standard" documents that everyone gets. Should only take about a week; but she will need them from any area where she has lived since she was 16.

The standard wait time is 1 month. I think it's possible to get it in 3 days if you pay for it. I applied for it on May,11 - they called me today and said that I can come pick it up tomorrow.

The same thing happened to me -I indicatesd St Petersburg consulate, but it went to Moscow after NVC review automatically - I called NVC , they already knew that the case will go to Moscow (despite NOA2 still indicating St Petersburg). My fiance got the police certficate in 20 days from local St Peterburg MVD without any priviliges; and even if they say it's 1 month, it doesn't take more than that. If you want it faster than that , then other people my have better suggestions for you. Good luck

So what happens now? Is somebody going to send me instructions? What about Elena over there in Russia? She is going to get her police certificate soon, but hasn't received any official instructions either. I read in the guide that NVC is the next stage.

You as the USC are out of the picture now.....it's all between the Embassy and her.

She ought to receive a packet of documents and an invitation letter. If she does not, then you can download the forms from the Moscow Embassy website. Read those instructions carefully.

Firstly, one of you should contact NVC via phone or e-mail to find out whether they completed your case and to ask them for your NVC case number (starts with MOS for Russia).

Then (about 7-10 business days after the NVC stage has been completed) one of you should contact the embassy via phone or e-mail (your fiancee can speak Russian to them), tell them your NVC case number (MOSXXXXXXXXX) and find out the interview date.

Hi everybody. Thanks so much for all your help. So now we are just waiting to find out what Elena's interview date will be. Should I mail her over paystubs, a letter from my employer, etc, or can I scan and email them? If I'm gonna mail them I should do it soon! Any advice on what to send to prove I can support her? I have enough income from my job to support her....

What I did for Olya is write a new affidavit of support I-384 for her and gave her my current pay stubs and my past 3 years of tax returns. I happened to visit again almost 6 weeks before her interview. I also e-mail her my current pay stubs and a letter from my employeer. Olya has a complete duplicate of my I-129F filling. Her interview is tomorrow morning in Moscow. I'll fnd out how all went when I wake up tomorrow. I have heard that sometimes they do not even ask for the affidavit of support. Nevertheless, I included it in my original petition. Good luck to you and Elena!!!!
