Hello everyone...

I just noticed that i put wrong date on my previous marriage termination on our I-130 form.

What should we do now? Does this will sound stupid if we contact them and do some correction?

Please advice me....I'm lost... :(

USCIS

14-02-2011 sent I-130 petition for my case and my son's case

07-07-2011 approved! (139 days)

NVC

03-08-2011 NVC received

03-08-2011 received NVC case # and IIN for my case

25-08-2011 received NVC case # for my son's case

01-09-2011 sent aos packages

07-09-2011 sent IV packages

13-09-2011 1st checklist

17-09-2011 2nd checklist with different request

20-09-2011 sent out the checklist requested

28-09-2011 CC for my case

01-10-2011 Received P4 for interview date on November 22

05-10-2011 CC for my son's case

08-10-2011 received P4 for son's case

Consulate

07-11-2011 Medical

09-11-2011 picked up the result, everything is good, thanks god!

22-11-2011 Visa APPROVED!

28-11-2011 Pick up the visa

I'm afraid this gonna cause the problem while they're doing the background check since it's different from what is written on my divorce certificate...

USCIS

03-08-2011 received NVC case # and IIN for my case

25-08-2011 received NVC case # for my son's case

01-09-2011 sent aos packages

17-09-2011 2nd checklist with different request

20-09-2011 sent out the checklist requested

28-09-2011 CC for my case

01-10-2011 Received P4 for interview date on November 22

05-10-2011 CC for my son's case

Consulate

07-11-2011 Medical

09-11-2011 picked up the result, everything is good, thanks god!

I am not sure they can change it for you with a phonecall- you will probably get an RFE or if they do not notice, send in a revised form to NVC. But it can;t hurt to call them and ask!

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thank you Penguin_ie for the reply, that's really nice of you :) that's exactly what i'm worried about, that we might gonna get an RFE because of this...errrrrr stupid me :bonk:

So, what do you think is the best for me to do, just wait until they notify us? but i'm really wishing they do not notice the mistake, but if we don't fix the problem now i'm afraid this gonna cause problem with the embassy oh man......

For what i read here, there is nothing you can do except wait for their rfe (if they notice it) but i believe if u included the proof of marriage termination, they will see the date on it, they will know that ur husband just made a mistake on the form. . No need to worry about.
