I received my NOA in the US and all the information looked correct... but one thing. My fiancée is a Canadian citizen and under his listed country of birth it said UNKNOWN.

I looked on guides and FAQs and did not see anything about this. I wasn't sure what to do, there was a listed customer service center and I just spend about 10 minutes on the phone with them explaining it. The representative said he would submit it as a 'typographical error' on their part and make sure they knew he was born in Canada. I know I filled out all the forms and so did he correctly.

Do you think this will affect our case? Did I do the right thing? We are going through the California Service Center

Do you have copies of the forms that you sent to USCIS? Shouldn't cause any major headaches, but be sure to follow up on it and make sure they corrected the mistake.

Same thing happened to us. Just call and they will change it. They gave us a confirmation number and we received an email 2 weeks later saying they had fixed it. We never got a new NOA1.

If you have the copy of the package that you sent to the USCIS, first, refer that and make sure you did it right. After that call the USCIS and talk with them. thay will change it.
