It requires the same supporting documents as the main sponsor.

PLUS the co-sponsor must include proof of citizenship or permanent residency in addition to all the documents attached to support the income claimed. With a co-sponsor your fiancee will submit TWO complete I-134's, yours and the co-sponsor's.

It could be but you'd be better off showing some type of pay stubs, bank receipts, tax records, etc., as well. If you don't have that many yet, I'd make sure the employer letter said something to the effect of, "XXXXX has been employed here for only a few weeks however we expect his employment to be long-term."

Is an employment verification letter enough to support a claim of income for a newly hired primary sponsor?

If there are no paycheck stubs, then this may be all you can give. ANY sponsor MUST also provide at least last years tax return documents or tax transcripts, unless they didn't file taxes last year.

hi baron555,

I have decided to go without co-sponsor at this point. Can't find one! As for tax returns...i'm reading that tax returns are required only if self-employed. Which I am not claiming to be at this point. Where are you seeing the 6 yr requirement.

regards,

thanks slim!

What about asset vehicles? I know that only 1/5th of the value is acceptable. Is an on-line "Kelly Blue Book" print out ok for a value verification or is a professional appraisal required?

I wouldn't list assets. Either you're over the limit with your salary or you're not.

Since you're a relatively new worker you won't have much to show in the way of history but you can show a lot in the way of potential!

Don't know what you are talking about; I never said anything about six years. Most folks send in the lady three years of transcripts or full copy of all tax return documents.

You are nit following the Guides. Read them and follie them. Everyone provides tax documents.

regards,

One year return will be requested by Kiev. I do not suggest going to the interview without it. The amount you made is not important, your CURRENT income is more important. Attach an employment letter and recent check stubs. Avoid using assets if possible. They count for 1/3 not 1/5 but can also be declined at the consulate. If your CURRENT income exceeds the guidelines, sleep well. If it does not, get a part time job
