Like a lot of us April filers at VSC, I had to wait and wait for our biometrics letters to come - and when it did, it was only about 2 weeks notice until my bio date.

I, like I'm sure a lot of people, am not able to make my scheduled biometrics appointment because I have to work. So I PMed another posted who did a walk-in at the Atlanta centre and she gave me good advice.

I went today and got to the centre at 7:30am. There were some people milling about with families. We all lined up by the door at 7:45am and I was about 6 or 7th in line. The security guard come out at 7:50am and checked our biometrics letter and green card. I went in and lined up again in front of another officer who checked (again) our biometrics letter and green card and also our hands. He gave us a clipboard and told us to fill out 'the white part only'

So I sat down, finished mine quickly and was the first person waiting to have the form checked. The guard checked my paperwork, checked my hands again and told me to sit in the grey chairs.

Well, I didn't even get to sit down before a lady was calling me up. She took my fingerprints, we chatted about how slow it was at the centre. She took my picture and gave me my letter, green card and a yellow card. The yellow card was a comment card so I filled it out with accolades and dropped it into the box.

I was finished by 8am and in my car driving home

No need, biometrics already done!

Besides, it not a sort of job I can take a lunch from - certainly not long enough to drive into Atlanta to get this done
