Man charged in officer's death was twice deported

There were an estimated 8.7MM illegals in the US in 2000. Eight years later, the estimates were in the range of 12MM - up some 33%. In 2010, however, the count was down some 8% at about 11MM. Now, how is that worse than when Bush left office? Do you want more illegals seeing that having less than when Bush left office is a bad thing in your view? Or do you just have it all twisted?

The only thing that is twisted is your take on the situation. It is the state of the US economy rather than the super human efforts of Obama that has shaped your statistics. As I said...any positive improvements have been made in spite of Obama rather than because of him.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

And yet, the situation is better now than it was then. I know it hurts but that's what it is.

What's better? The economy sucks and some illegals go home or don't come because the jobs have dried up. Now is a good time to purge the economy of the ones that are left, but your hero Obama actively undermines enforcement while focusing on amnesty. As I said...what's better about that? It sucks. Obama sucks.

Well, a dose of reality over your pre-conceived notions might help. Well, probably not in your case. But here it is anyways...

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency expects to deport about 400,000 people this fiscal year, nearly 10 percent above the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than were deported in 2007. The pace of company audits has roughly quadrupled since President George W. Bush's final year in office.

How many illegal aliens have been arrested and deported in these workplace audits? Your hero lets them go so they can continue committing fraud and stealing jobs from legal workers elsewhere. How is that better? It sucks. It's stupid. How can you even defend such nonsense?

Well... workplace audits aren't designed to be workplace raids. I know its hard to grasp realistic concepts; you might want to give them a shot though in between bouts of the ole unrealistic rants.

What's unrealistic? Obama stopped workplace raids and now has meaningless workplace audits with no teeth. Stupid is as stupid does.

And yet, he's still deporting more illegals than Bush has. And he's finally going after the employers of illegals which is by far the best approach. He's not hitting these employers hard enough, that's the problem.

Maybe you're focusing on one thing only and unsurprisingly not focusing on everything else.

You must be referring to the delay in raids right? 2009... Yeah that had its apparent reasons you may not be aware of or are but just don't want to acknowledge. Ask Janet Napolitano about that. Now if you're interested in fact, check the numbers for 2010 and 2011... [Hint: At least Google says there have been ongoing raids since then...]

What I think is that you derive some sort of neo-sadistic satisfaction from any heavy-handed treatment of however-illegal aliens. And that's pretty sick.

Exactly. He should tighten that noose a little more.
