Hi guys, friend of mine got into argement with his roomate last weekend about some stupid stuff like rent and other things, and his roommate called the cops on him and told them about the agrement, when they came they start asking my friend about the agrement and he told them we only was talking and then start the agrgement about stupid stuff, than the cop told my friend you have to live because the lease is not in his name and gave my friend report to sign it and he didnt got arrested than he lest right away,because it was no hiting or damages, his question is he is going to apply for his Citizenship next year and he was wondering if that would affect him? because he never had any ticket in the US or fighting? thanks guys i appreciate that.

nothing to worry about, you was not arrested, you was not convicted, ther was no court hearing or date,the officer made you sign the report, so it's on record i would go to the police station and get the report make copies, when the time comes to file your n-400 citizenship, send a letter explaining what happen along with the police report,you should be fine.

Thanks for your reply, yeah thats what i told him too there is no big deal, he only sign the report and he never been arrested, i dont think he need to get the report and send it when he apply for N-400? because there was no charge or damages? thanks for ur answer.

If he was never arrested, or cited, no problem. Just make sure it was a Field Interview Report he signed, and not a "Cite and Release". If he has to see a judge about the incident, then he will have to report that on the N400.

Hi thanks guys for the reply, yeah he never see the judje or they ask him to, it was just argement and no big deal, thats what i told him too dont worry about it this is just incident and there is no damages!! thanks.
