Touched... what is the meaning of this??

Please, could anyone tell me what does Touched mean??I've seen this in many timelines on your signatures, but I just don't know what is the meaning of that...

When your petition is received, it is assigned a bar code. The bar code is swiped everytime the file is handled, whether it be if the file is counted, moved, or placed on an adjudicators desk

So don't put too much weight behind a touch, it doesn't mean anything, they could have simply moved your file from one filing cabinet to another due to a leaky pipe

Thanks! I didn't put too much weight don't worry. I was just curious, because I've seen this on many timelines... so I was trying to figure this out. Mine has been touched once though

Hi, from what they've said I believe you find it when you sign in to an account on USCIS, and then add your case to your portfolio. You will see a column that states "Last Updated" I believe they refer to this date. Best of luck to you!!

I was touched on April 8, wishing that it's from my package been put on an adjudicator desk!
