DS-156 Electronic Form

Whenever I go to this website http://evisaforms.state.gov/ to fill out the DS-156, I get the following message displayed:

Your system may not meet the minimum requirements. The following problem(s) have been detected:

* Your browser does not appear to meet the minimum required version.

* You do not appear to have the minimum required version of Adobe Acrobat installed.

But I have the latest version of Firefox (on a Mac) and the latest version of Adobe. So I tried it anyway, filled out the form and clicked "continue" but after waiting for over 10 minutes nothing happened, no PDF file was created as it said it would so I figured it doesn't work.

Anyone know how to get around this or what I can do to make it work?

hello...i had desame problem with yours before but i found a solution...used the google browser not in yahoo...and it works...try to link all the forms in google then you can have it,,that was also my problem then...but i just had all my forms done already...

no, it does say anything it just opened as i click the form...i actually printed all the forms..i used google chrome because in yahoo in says what u just said...i cannot open in there it just says adobe dont meet the minimum requirements...just try again to download a latest version of adobe that meets the requirements in google chrome...it might work...or maybe it depends on the computer...but just try those options...

Well when I open that page in google chrome it tells me the same thing as in firefox. And I can't just download the form first..at first I have to fill it out online and then print, right? But when I clicked on continue in firefox, it didn't do anything.

I did update my Adobe reader. It is version 9.xx and minimum requirement is version 5.xx so it SHOULD work :(

i just tried your link on my google chrome and it works...there is a message that poped out saying adobe dont meet minimum but i just closed it and continue open the ds-156 form then it just smoothly opened...try it...and let me know...

Well the form opens, yes, but after I fill it out electronically, and click "continue" so that a PDF file will be generated that I can save and download...nothing happens. Well I haven't tried it with the chrome one yet, but since it tells me the exact same thing as in firefox, I'm assuming it might not work again...:(

But it's not a PDF file...it's an electronic form, which looks weird printed out. Also, when clicking on "continue" it will generate a barcode which is essential, I think...

Moreover, it says big and fat in red "DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE" on the top, and that you are supposed to fill it out and then click on "continue" to print it...

In my physical packet 3 it suggested to do the forms in Internet Explorer. I normally use Firefox but did all the forms in IE and had no problems filling them out or printing them. Hope this helps :-)
