Hi VJ Members, i hope you are all doing great and having a good weekend. I have a question on N-400 part 6 B. The question is on employer or school name. I am working and also going to school, i have the correct dates as to when i started working and going to school, however i am also expected to fill out when i stopped working but that is not applicable to me and i can not write "To: present" i have to put a date, month and the year, I do not know when i will stop work, should i put the current date or should i leave it blank. I hope my question makes sense. Thank you all for your time and consideration to my question.

The same thing happened to me, I couldn't put present, so I just put a date and then at the interview when the officer reviews your N400 you tell the officer and he or she will correct it.

The officer just corrected it at the interview. No problem.

I'm in the process of filling out my N-400 form as well.and like you i went to school and worked at the same time but not continuously. I'm interested to know how you fille out that part.

Did you put your employer or your school? or a mixed of them?

I don't know how to fill out that part. Also, for your residence address during the five years, if you stayed let's say 5 months out of the country, but kept a valid address in U.S. do you put your U.S. address or that foreign address?

As for school and work, i put the work and school separate i.e the

ABC state university student 1/12/2009 12/16/2011

ABC Company Cashier 00/00/0000 00/00/00

As for the residence address i only put the places have stayed here in the states, and since i have been a LPR i have been out of the country only once for 2 weeks. I hope this helps. I already sent my paper work and it was accepted so i guess i filled out verything correctly. Let me know if you need any other help.
