Hi guys, just a quick question, I was reading in the I-864 info that the poverty line requirements include anyone living in my household. Currently, I am still living with my parents until my fiancee's visa gets approved and we are going to get an apartment as soon as she gets here. What poverty line do I have to meet? Just the 2 of us or for everyone living in my house, also does a co-sponsor have to be related?

Thanks.

You would only count your parents in the household size if they were filling out an I-864A to combine their income with yours to meet the 125% level. They are not your dependents, so you would not count them on your I-864 otherwise.

No, the joint sponsor does not need to be a relative.

Ahh, didn't click their timeline. I just assumed since they mentioned the I-864 and posted in the AOS forum, that they were indeed at the AOS stage.
