Where will my 130 petition be processed?

Ok i live in Texas. I filed my 130 for my husband. I sent it to the chigaco IL address it had on the 130 instructions. Does it get transfered to the correct service center from there? Which will it be? Just any random one? As i said i live in Texas so i would think it would be the Texas service center. but i dont know how that all works. Thanks!

It used to be that they sent it regionally. I'm in Florida on the east coast and they processed my I-129F in Vermont, but my I-130 is being processed in California, so who knows! It will definitely be listed on your NOA1.

You won't know until you get your USCIS case number--California handles the vast majority of these petitions, but Chicago sends it to the center that they think has the most capacity.

Thats correct.

My bets it would either be CSC or VSC.

I heard it's based on Service Center Workload, which would actually makes sense. I think TSC is used for overflow, but based on the fiasco that occurred with that experiment last year, maybe they are out of the picture now...which may be a good thing.

Exactly what I am thinking. I have a good feeling it's going to be CSC with the amount of applications they are putting out well in advanced of the 5 month timeline. VSC is still playing catchup.
