Then why are you rubbing your hands together and selecting prisons for the guy before guilt has been determined?

Video isn't conclusive proof. It can be faked, edited etc. That's why the courts are supposed to consider all evidence and testimony. They don't push 'play', say 'guilty' and then ####### off for a burger and fries...

One has to be found guilty in a court of law... to be guilty.

Ask OJ Simpson, just because his wife was found with her throat slashed...

and he was caught (on film) fleeing with a passport, cash, and a wig (I think he had a wig) did not make him guilty.

Anti Semitic/Semitism ...whatever is too easy to throw around. And yes Israel is a Jewish state. So saying Jew vs Israeli isn't being "anti Semitic imo.

There are non-Jews who live in Israel and hold Israeli citizenship. There are the Muslims, Christians, and Druze... amongst others, most of whom are not only not Jewish by religion but also ethnicity.

Many jews have high profile jobs/positions

That may be the result of the nurturing nature of the traditional jewish family where education and entrepreneurial skills are valued and given their history of oppression over the centuries, they know they need to struggle. I don't know but I speculate that this is the reason

There are enough highly prominent jewish scientists around to make me believe that they have not achieved their positions via other influential jews because scientists HAVE to know their stuff - Einstein, Oppenheimer to name just two

In the case that many jews achieve high profile positions, it follows that they will be in the news a lot

Captain Bob Maxwell, Bernie Madoff etc were rather notorious but they were talented and energetic and skillful

The number of non-notorious jews is many. Madeleine Albright, Kissinger. Nigel Lawson, Mandelson, Bob Dylan, lady gaga etc etc etc - they are all in the public spotlight

Given the disproportionate number (to the general population) of prominent jews, they will always be in the news

Fortunately, the number of notorious jews is fairly small and the number of laudible jews is much larger

I am not a jew and I can prove it - but only by a method which would get me arrested in public. The SAS men of Bravo 2 Zero used that method to prove their non-jewishness to the Iraqi security services.

And how could you leave out the Supreme Court, isn't that place is dominated by Jews (and Catholics).

I would bet, most Jewish folk in this country would be all in favor of "quotas" to make sure the majority white demographic does not have too many slots in schools, work places ect.

It would seem the national obsession to track these things is only limited to certain demographics.

I'm not a quotas-person (generally speaking) but if we are going to do it... to avoid clusters of success or opportunity .. we should consider all demographics.

Discriminating on grounds of religion or color or ethnicity has to be bad but what about other factors ?

For instance, I used to manage a department of 35 people so I was always interviewing. I discriminated against unintelligent people and scruffy people and lazy people. I discriminated on a whole lot of criteria. We all discriminate every day in all sorts of ways and some of them are unfair.

So I am in favor of limiting discrimination where we know the factor will not necessarily affect job performance

The closest as I would get to positive discrimination is to help a poor child afford college

Discrimination should help us all - if only the brightest are discriminated for, we will produce scientists who can cure cancer. Giving those research jobs via postive discrimination to people on grounds of color or religion or ethnicity will hurt us all as we will have less able scientists compared to selection on merit
