When you're AOS application has been transferred to CSC already, does this basically mean that your papers were all done right and that you wont get RFE's?

I remember seeing a post here something about you get all RFE's first before they finally transfer it to CSC.

Is this true?

Any info will be very much appreciated.

Sept 6 06 - AOS Transferred to CSC

Sept 9 06 - Biometrics Appointment

Nov 20 06- AOS APPROVED!!!! OMG THANK YOU! THANK YOU THANK YOU! ..now just waitin for d card to arrive ^_^

People get RFEs from CSC. Chicago checks to make sure the application is complete, whereas CSC reviews the details. If you don't include enough info on the affidavit of support, for instance, they will issue an RFE.

6/27/06 NOA dates for I-130, I-131, I-765, I-485

7/17/06 received biometrics appt notice

7/27/06 biometrics completed

9/7/06 AP approved

9/13/06 EAD approved

11/6/06 received appointment notice for Dec 19th

12/19/06 Interviewed, approved, received stamp in passport

12/27/06 card production ordered

01/03/07 received green card (envelope postmarked 12/30/06)

09/20/08 Mailed I-751 to remove conditions

09/26/08 NOA date

10/16/08 Received biometrics notice

10/31/08 Biometrics

03/10/09 Transferred from VSC to CSC

05/15/09 I-751 approval noticed received in mail

12/01/09 Mailed N-400 for naturalization

12/07/09 NOA date

12/15/09 Received biometrics notice

01/04/10 Biometrics

02/17/10 Interview, approval, and oath

I got an rfe after being transferred as well *sigh* just waiting to see what it is for now... :huh:

2-28-2009 Sent in I-751

3-14-2009 Received I-751 back because they can't read

3-16-2009 Re-Sent I-751

3-17-2009 Received by Vermont

Waiting and watching the calendar flip ever so over closer to 4-2-2009 (When my 2 yr GC expires) . . .

4-2-2009 Received I-751 back AGAIN! Oh and my GC expired today.

4-3-2009 Re-Sent I-751

4-4-2009 Received by Vermont

4-6-2009 Date of NOA-1 Extension Letter (Rec'd 4/13/09)

We got an RFE too, just after the applications were sent to MSC. I believe...and if I'm wrong somebody correct me...they are sent to MSC first (after sent to the lockbox in Chicago) before any of them are transferred...if they are transferred.

I was told that even if you get an RFE and your app isn't transferred, it still CAN be transferred, once the RFE is sent back, with the requested information. I hope so, 'cause if it's transferred to CSC (our case I mean) then that means my husband will get his GC without an interview. :)

Hi...

Well my case was transfered to California and soon after that I got a RFE, I sent it, and 7 days after they received it I got an e-mail saying a welcome notice was sent.... sooooo..... I wasn't sure if I should get excited when peopel told me that being transfered meant no interview and faster, but I guess it is true... but the part of the rfe is possible, I got one and knwo of people who have gotten one soon after the transfer. In any case, good Luck!!!!

This is what I've understood from some of the posts I've read here, althought it doesn't appear that it prevents you from getting an RFE.

It seems to be that the majority, if not all, of the AOS files transferred to California are approved without an interview. We were. I suspect that they forward the ones that appear to be fairly straight forward from a cursory examination, especially if the service centre for your area has a backlog.
