Hello, I will apologize in advance if my timeline is not posted im new to this, I have been following vjers but this is my first time to ask a question I filed a I130 for my spouse and my notice of action date was nov 28,2010 i check my case status on the uscis site every day and still no approval, but today i got an email from the nvc saying that my case is ready to be process and i have a nvc case number and an invoice i.d number and a benificiary number the reason that im so confuse is because i called the uscis and they told me that my case was still in initial review and that they are processing Nov 16 wich they have been doing that for 3 weeks can any one help me or give me any kind of information im working overseas so i dont check my mail mayb i was approved and dont know it thanks to all in advanc.

Hm, I've never heard of this happening before, so I don't know for sure, but it's a very good sign that you got an email from NVC. Does everything on the email match up to your case (to make sure you didn't receive someone else's case info in error)?

I would definitely try to get confirmation from USCIS though, because you want to be sure that they actually forwarded your petition on to NVC. Call them and try to speak to a tier two person, not just the representative who answers the phone – the first person you talk to only sees what's on the computer screen and often can tell you no more than what the case update page tells you (which is pretty screwy and not always up to date). Explain your situation and say that you really need to know for sure what the status of your petition is and whether or not it was forwarded to NVC.

Hopefully you really have been approved and can start the NVC processing – this part flies by! Good luck!

I would like to thank both of you for your replies the information was very useful, but scary once i read one link. I called my mmother and she has the approved 797 in her hands thank God its been a long wait now im off to the nvc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
