My NOA2 says it has been forwarded on to the consulate in Mexico City. I called the NVC and asked if it had gone there first. They have no record of it having arrived, and since my notice specifically says it has been forwarded to Mexico, it probably bypassed going to the NVC. They didn't know why that would be, and I am wondering if that has happened to anyone else before?? I'm assuming it will probably make the process faster anyway, so it sounds like a good thing. I just don't want to hear that noone knows where it is.

Also, I've heard a bunch of people saying that Fiance visas can ONLY be interviewed for in Juarez, whereas my friend who lives right next to the embassy in Mexico City and has people staying at her place all the time for visa interviews has said that she had NEVER heard that Juarez was the only place for that. In fact, because of her location, she knows people who went to Mexico City for the K1 visa interview. I'm so confused!!!!

NOA2 will say that but really they sent it to the National Visa Center if you call the NVC they will give you your new case number and let you know if its still there or if it has been forwarded to the embassy. Good Luck :)

Hey thanks guys, somehow I didn't find your answers to this thread until now, I had reposted basically the same question again because I couldn't find this thread. (still learning how to use the forums, etc.) Man I wish he didn't have to go to Juarez, that stinks. Thankfully I found a reliable contact for him to stay with there though.
