Howdy,

coming Monday we finally have our interview.

It is my understanding that I have to bring and hand-back the EAD, is this correct?

If so how do I prove my elgibility to work while I am waiting for the GC?

Cheers

Tim

They might let you keep the EAD. If they take it, then there will be around a week lag before you get your GC. Usually an employer has a window between hiring and verifying status, so if you happen to get a job and start work in those 10 days, then you'd explain the situation.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

The IO did not ask for my EAD.

When she told us the GC process woudl take another 30 to 90 days I confirmed with her that I can apply for work with the EAD in the meantime.
