Yeah...GO RAY RAY! lol I know many folks are depressed about the process, but for some reason, I am ok with it. Yes, I miss my fiance. He misses me. But we know this is out of our hands. I am quite thankful for finding my VJ friends on here. It seems to be a very positive base for people seeking guidance and support they cannot get from their close friends and family. They just simply do not understand what we're going through.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate you!!!

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

I have another question for you guys....since april filers are getting approved right now at CSC i might get approved in july or august....i have booked tickets to see my fiance from august 28th till september 9th for 12 days....my question is:

Does the officer at the immigration see that i have a pending visa?

all i can find on here is people saying that its ok to go the US but i just wonder DO THEY KNOW....because i need to know what to answer them if they ask me what is the purpose of my travel...it would be stupid to say "visiting my girlfriends from college" when the officer can see that i am engaged to a US citizien...

I am thankful for every opinion!!!!

Ok...I'll answer here. Never lie to an immigration officer. But limit your answer. If they don't ask, don't tell. Have everything with you ready to show. Show ties to your home country. Bills, letter from employer you're returning for work. Email from boss. Whatever you have. Do not have it out ready to show. Just in your bag. Just in case. Also bring your approval letters from USCIS. Show intent you were not trying to hide it your status. But willing to be transparent and give them everything they might ask for. Have bank account statement with money in it back home. Cash in your pocket. Show they you are not reliant on the person you are coming to visit. When they ask you who you are visiting, you say I'm visiting some friends. Not a lie at all. You have a "boyfriend" (aka fiancee) but also friends you wish to visit. Did you go to school here in the US? This shows a track record of you coming here for a purpose, and still returning to your home country.

Ok....was that long winded enough? Phewwww!

And btw...I had been turn away at the border in 1998. If you want to learn more. Private message me. I'll explain. Everything turned out ok. Don't worry about it. good.gif

One explanation I've read was that VSC has been moving into a new facility. I'm sure anyone can understand how this would cause MAJOR delays in processing times. If they're starting to pickup the pace, then perhaps the move is almost complete.

So, Mayflies...sorry May filers... what are we all doing to keep busy? I'm trying to trick my mind into thinking 'I can't be approved too soon, I have too much to do!' so I'm attempting one or two 'jobs' every 10 days or so. Here is a list of things I'm doing to keep busy- my interview will one day be in London...

Go to Glastonbury Festival! Spending 5 days in mud listening to bands and spending time with friends and family sure takes your mind off this process...I honestly think I thought about it maybe once!!!

Got a new doctor and I will make appointments soon to have some vaccinations that I need

Looking at visajourney and other forums for info (every day because I'm obsessed)

Familiarising me and my bloke with the next forms we have to fill in and their requirements

Getting insurance for my beautiful engagement ring

Ordered my birth certificate and will get the police cert in a month or so...got to spread the tasks out!

Looking at jobs and houses in the place we plan to live

Writing to my future in-laws. I know this isn't meant to be a 'job' but I'm just trying to be really intentional about getting to know a new family who are still thousands of miles away

Ordering a new passport, mine runs out in November

Trying to mentally work out what I'll take with me, what i'll sell and what I'll give away. If you think it's too soon then you'll also laugh how my family and housemates between them have already put claims on most of my belongings!

Oh and one day there's a wedding to plan (no date set yet of course). Busy busy busy. Almost 2 months since NOA1 and they've flown by...err kind of.
