Hi All!

I am new to this site, and new to this process. I have read and re read and read again all the information on this site as well as on travel.state.gov. Fingers crossed that this process, although timeconsuming, will go smoothly.

If you have any tips please send them along to me as I hope to sumbit my petition within the next 2 weeks.

Make sure to include evidence of having met in the past two years, passport stamps, boarding passes, hotel receipts. More information is better than less in my opinion. Double check all your papers. I quadruple checked mine and still missed something!

It is very overwhelming, but once you get it sent out it is a huge relief. And on the I-129F where they ask about your relationship, feel free to add more and attach a sheet. Tell them your story. Don't go overboard but give them a good look at you. They only see us in black and white, but I always thought if I could just get them to see us as actual people that would help.

If it wasn't for VJ I would have had to hire someone to do this for us! So utilize all the resources here and ask as many questions as you need. Vent if you have to :wacko: It is a rough road and I think we are all here to smooth it out for others :D

Also check out others cases from your beneficiary's country, it is super helpful.

Hi Everyone!

So after many nights worrying and gathering documents and many phone calls with my fiance, I finally mailed my petition in about an hour ago! It was a relief to get it in the mail but now my head is spinning with things I should have sent, if I marked the check correctly, if I forgot anything at all! Ugh! I am guess waiting just gets harder and harder. I know I miss my fiance more and more everyday!

Thanks to all those who took the time to respond to my initial posting. I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. I guess I have begun my journey! Here's hoping it goes smoothly!
