Question : i have lived in another country for 5 years . When i send the papers to NVC i sent also a police certificate for the years i spent there. Now i have more than 4 years living in my country. Should i take e new Police certificate from the other country i lived when i ll have my interview in embassy or is enough the one i sent 2 years ago to NVC?

I believe the old one is enough, you just need to bring Police Certificate from the country you have lived in after your application got approved some 2 years ago.

As you say, you have been in your country the last 4 years, so just a new PC from your current resident country will be enough.

Lets hope for some fast forward movement of the VB.

The president just gave a speech on an immigration reform and there is something that might be beneficial for us:

Keep Families Together. The proposal seeks to eliminate existing backlogs in the family-sponsored immigration system by recapturing unused visas and temporarily increasing annual visa numbers. The proposal also raises existing annual country caps from 7 percent to 15 percent for the family-sponsored immigration system. It also treats same-sex families as families by giving U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents the ability to seek a visa on the basis of a permanent relationship with a same-sex partner. The proposal also revises current unlawful presence bars and provides broader discretion to waive bars in cases of hardship.

Here is the link if you would like to read the whole thing.

Hey Krishh ne news?

Unfortunately no I/L yet...I'm also curious abt it and checking my mail box and VJ 10-15 times a day. I also can't understand why they haven't started coz its already 30th of this month, still no i/ls. And remember Feb has only 28 days, so even if an applicant is scheduled for 1st March Interview, he/she must have minimum 30 days to prepare for interview. NVC gives approx. 30-40 days gap b'fore interview. But i still believe that today or by 1st Feb we will get I.Ls. May be first 2 days of this week NVC prepared all the task and now they must be ready to release Interview Letters.

And Guys i Will update immediately as soon as i get it...
