They FINALLY shipped my freakin' package to the Embassy! I've been calling them like crazy. "We'll ship it. We'll ship it. Please allow 8 weeks." "The interview is in 5 weeks." "Please allow 8 weeks." *facepalm*

Anyway, they FINALLY shipped my package. We're DONE with the NVC, and not a moment too soon.

Have you tried to track the package at DHL site?

Question for yall people tracking your packages from NVC to Embassy. Is this just a "im bored and want to know where it is thing"?

I read about that in very beginning but cant really see the point of it.

For me it's just a little something that helps with all this waiting.

Grats! kicking.gif Weird they took so long to ship your case out! Usually it's the day after an interview date is scheduled that they ship them out.

Question for those that have already got their SIF/CC...is there a particular time of day that they seem to occur? Like, I saw alot of ppl (us included) getting the NOA2 email/text at 6 or 7pm US time. Does something similar happen with the NVC? Does the system update at a certain time or does it update constantly thoroughout the day?

Was just curious...I keep checking but still no SIF :(

I got my NOA2 text during the afternoon, around 3ish. My SIF came around the same time too, around 3 I believe.

I don't think there's a certain time in which the system updates, but who knows.

It's just to keep people busy. Plus, if your case is in the package that you found on DHL, it's good to know when your case arrives at its destination safely. So peace of mind as well.

By no means is it necessary. And you can never know 100% that your case was in that exact package, but I found it fun nonetheless tracking my case to Montreal.

i called the nvc last week to see if they had at least received our aos and iv docs and the operator wasn't able to confirm if they had even received our stuff. We sent it to them on june 7th. is it worth calling an operator again to see if they have got our docs? avr says that they mailed us a packet on 18th may and doesn't say anthing else yet.

In my experience, they won't confirm they have received anything until they actually process the packets. Give it the

"20 business days" if you can, or just call back every day. As soon as they can say they have received them, you will also know they have processed the packets.

So...my husband was finally able to speak to a supervisor. Still didn't really get very far...we are still under supervisor review, but at least she could tell us a little bit more.

She said it looks like the person who reviewed our package doesn't believe that our marriage certificate is 'acceptable' for whatever reason. As far as she can tell, its not actually missing. But its a worry that they can't authenticate a marriage certificate from their own country. If we were married in another country, I could understand it but we were married in the US!

Anway...so they still techinically have until the 29th June to carry out the supervisor review, but the supervisor my husband spoke to doesn't seem to think that it will take that long..I hope she is right.

On another note for anyone interested...this supervisor also said that the whole 'the NVC only schedules interviews during the second week of the month' script isn't true...they schedule right throughout the month. Figured as much since Saylin and others had their interviews scheduled at other times, but it was interesting to hear it from them.

We sent AOS packet two weekes ago and we got a response, on that, they request the the DS-230 packet to be sent, we sent it on tuesday, however it has instructions, for example that we have to write in all the pages the NVC number,we did not do it, it also has a barcode (I dont know if it the same that we sent) check letter response, that we have to sent according to that. Do you know if there will be problem with the IV packet?, because we did not write the NVC number in all the pages and also we did not sent the barcode that this email has :S

This makes me feel nervous

I never had that kind of request, we sent the IV packet without the NVC number in the pages, but indeed is mandatory to send the cover sheet with the bar code, and I'm now done with NVC. Have you called and spoken to a supervisor?
