hi everybody, i just sent my application for i-130 n i-485. we been married over 2 years now. i sent my paperwork on 04/18/2011, they received it on the 04/20/2011 n they cashed my check on 04/22/2011. i have a question bout the aos interview, under what cimcurstances they waived the interview? thanks!

They will not waive your interview. You filed an I-130 which requires an interview. Only K visa applicants can have their interview waived.

a tourist visa. does that make any difference?

Yes. It means you will most definitely have an interview, and it means you should be posting and reading here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-tourist-visas/ The current forum is for people adjusting from family based visas, and a visitor visa is not a family based visa.
