I-130 Example form - confused :S

I was looking at the I-130 example form:

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-130.pdf

It states that John Smith is petitioning for his wife Jane, however down in part C it asks for "information about your alien relative" and they've got John's information.

Shouldn't it be Jane's?

Just wanted to clarify - as it confused me a bit while looking at the example form and I don't want to make a mistake when it comes to actually filling out my own application.

Section C is calling for "Jane's" information. The area of the form you are wondering about is a continuation of asking for information about "Jane" from the previous page. Therefore, since "John" is "Jane's" husband, "John's" information would go on that line.

Thank you so much.

I would have completely mis-interpreted that section...

Yes Ryan is correct. Its asking for husband or wife or children of the relative who is the beneficiary.
