How long does it normally take to get touched after NOA1?

I got touched a couple of days after, and then 5 days after, and then 8 days after, and then I got a dayum RFE!!!

I got touched 3 days after NOA.

It varies there is no exact time.

I got "touched" a few times in the week after the NOA1 date, then nothing for 2 months. Are your cases showing up online?

I had the first touch on my case right after my biomectics taken. Good luck

My cases are on-line but there hasn't been any movement since Aug 26, two days after they recieved the packet. My husband had his biometrics this morning so hopefully there will be some action soon.

The key to understanding touches is the following:

Touches can be good (interview letter, approval) or bad (RFE).

However, a lack of touches can in no way be interpreted as good or bad.

In my case I received Biometrics, had my biometrics and recieved my interview letter in a long duration without touches. Its only in the last few days (after 2 months without touches) that I had any online activity.

I am starting to think that touches don't mean anything! I have been touched a lot recently, but I have no idea why!

We (hubbie and I) also wondered if a case is assigned to one officer or do multiple employees work on a case at the same time???

I was wondering the same thing today. My husband thinks that each case is assigned to 1-4 people depending on your petition. You know someone has it, works on it, passes it on to the next person until it has gone through enough and they approve or deny it.
