While waiting for the NOA2 -is there anything I can start compiling? I tried searching at the top - but couldn't find a checklist for this portion of the visa process.

I know that I need to fill out my affidavit of support and that he needs to start collecting police certificates. What else is there? That can't possibly be it.

Also, how does the medical exam get setup? Does he have to do that? Should he do that now?

Btw - he will be coming from Scotland and the embassy we will be using will be in London. I've found the board so helpful in preparing the I-129f, and I'm sure it will be helpful with this step, I just can't seem to find the right place to look!

Hi cmoore25,

Some of your questions might be best answered by people who have actually dealt with the embassy in London, but here are some suggestions for you!

- Try to gather evidence of relationship: pictures, telephone bills, e-mails, travel receipts and itineraries, cards received, anything that puts you both at the same place at the same time.

- The medical for a K-1 can be used for the green card process if it's filed within a year of the appointment. I file for my green card in October, and had my medical done in May, so I was all

good on that level. I don't know if the embassy in London is different, but I had to book my own appointment when I figured out when my K-1 interview would be.

- Gather birth certificates, police checks, all that good stuff, and make copies of everything!

Hope this helps, good luck with the process!

cmoore25 - Has he started to fill out the Packet 3 forms? For London, packet 3 is available online and all the forms are there: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

My fiance filled them all out in advance, and just signed and dated the relevant ones closer to the interview date that he had.

Medical can be scheduled as soon as you receive your LND case number AND London has logged your case.

Vero & Chris - thanks :)

Kristen - Great information, thank you. So other than the affidavit of support, there is no paperwork on my end? When we receive the NOA2 - will we also get instructions on what is next, or is there a place on this site I'm missing that explains all of the steps in full? I just like to have things written out! Thanks :)
