Yes, we got the hardcopy today!

It's something simple to get fixed!

My fiancé forgot to answer the question 2 of the part C (Page 3) of the form I-29F.

Part C. Other Information

2. Have you ever been convicted by a court of law (civil or criminal) or court martialed by a military tribunal for any of the following crimes:

* Domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and neglect, dating violence, elder abuse or stalking. (please refer to page 3 of the instructions for the full definition of the term "domestic violence.)

* Homicide, murder, manslaughter, rape, abusive sexual contact, sexual exploitation, incest, torture, trafficking, peonage, holdng hostage, involuntary servitude, slave trade, kidnapping, abduction crimminal restarint, false imprisonmet, or an attempt to commit any of there crimes, or

* Three or more convictions for crimes relating to a controlled substance or alcohol not arising from a single act.

Anyway, the answer is NO, simple as that. He is sending the response for the question on Monday, Apr 25th. They say they can take 60 days to approve, but we gope to get approve earlier than that. Thank you all for all your support.

  • 1 year later...

I received an RFE today after waiting 6 months from the initial filing date. All they asked for was an original letter/statement, one from me and one from my fiance, staying explicitly that we will definitely marry within the 90 days period once my fiance arrives into the US. How strange because our original letter of intent indicated we definitely planned to marry? What is everyone's take on this? By the way this is the first RFE, should I expect more? Yikes, and stressed

hi guys, my fiance received a letter requesting for RFE last aug. 4 thru mail. it stated that we need to provide Letter of intent to marry, if ever we mailed the requested documents on 3rd week of August, when will we expect to receive NOA2? I hope you can help us,I'm so stressed.

So happy for all of you. It will soon be a month since I received the email saying I would receive a letter asking for more evidence. And still no letters. Its gotten to the point that I cry all the time, especially when the mail comes with nothing for me.

I called them last week and explained. Said they would resend it. And the wait continues

Keep the patience with you. My fiance and I were requested for a letter of intent to marry, too. We send it right away, I think July 24 and in July 25 it was on "Evidence Response Review" after a week, August 2, USCIS approved the petition already. Hang on sis :)
