I'll go you one better, examples of Humanitarian Reasons that have been approved for expedite:

Terminal Illness of the USC Petitioner's parent or close relative, thus allowing the USC to have their other half meet the ailing relative.

Disability due to recent injury or medical procedure of the USC, having their spouse at home would assist with daily care while they recover.

ooo i thought that was medical

Hi all,

Friday I meet with local USCIS office. I was advised to meet with local office when calling in to followup on expedite request and why no answer. The expedite inquiry was sent with this letter:

Your request for expedited processing has been received. After careful review and consideration, it has been determined that the request does not meet the expedite guidelines established by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As such, the case will be adjudicated in date receipt order.

Again calling, was advised to meet with local office instead of placing another query into the CSC. Stated the forms are not adjudicated there for I-129F. Was told by call center to go into local office anyway.

wonder what is up??? anyone got any ideas? Just wondering what may happen on Friday.

I think I would have left it alone and waited like everyone else. Don't throw-up big Red Flags:

Reasoning; You met on'line only Months ago

You have pictures and documentation yes I see that. It is way to early to "beg" USCIS for an expedite based on Poverty. They will ask: Is she still breathing and OK. "Yes" Well she's fine then. It's good you send money and that comes from the heart and a good Bank Account.

The Philipphines are very well used to Poverty and is not a reason for expedite.

There were alot of good reasons posted for an Expedite by Members but, your list is common in the Philipphines. ( I know it's a different World there)

I wish you good luck though.!

I miss Mav's Chicken Adobo but not enough to "Push the System of things this Early" and call attention to Myself.

Let us know how your meeting goes. You have alot of us Courious Now! (Never seen it attempted this early)

In the case of the close relative that would be humanitarian as the Petitioner isn't the one with the medical issue ;-)

Thanks for the input. Please note I am not pushing the poverty. The main thing I am pushing is the "state of emergency" declared by the Philippine president for the area. The bus bombings in the area. the kidnapping for ransom, the mass shooting of foreign journalists, the shooting of non-nationals, and the fact the US Embassy in Manila will not allow embassy personnel to go there without "special dispensation" from the US Embassy in manila. Yes, I know poverty is rampant in the Philippines. But these people are eating cassava, sometimes cassava is all they eat for a meal. The sad part is some of them have already been affected with tropical ataxic neuropathy or Konzo. The problem I have is: if the president of the country declares the area under state of emergency, and Idaho defines: Extreme emergency situations that create an immediate and serious

threat to public health, welfare or safety such as may arise by reason of

natural disasters, epidemics, riots, terrorist incidents, equipment failures or

other similar circumstances. A humanitarian situation defines where food, clean water, medical care is a problem.

For those who had US Aid, I am glad for you. Their area is completely forgotten. There is no US Aid in the area. When you get off the airplane and the security personnel ask if you want an escort, you know you just stepped into something. the hotel I stayed at even banned me from going out after 10pm for my own safety. When you see security personnel, NPR in front of the stores, not banks, but stores, and in Jollibee with m-16's you wonder where you are.

Her extended family lives here in the valley, I spend much time with them, even visiting her uncle when he was in the hospital a few weeks ago. He is on dialysis now. His kidneys have failed completely. My Fiance and I talk daily for 3 to 4 hours a day. I send her money so she can continue to pay for an internet load card. A friend of the family had put up a tower in the area for internet access. I took one of my own laptops over there for her, so we could connect and talk daily. And we never miss talking to each other every day. Her dad has even ginen her "special dispensation" making it mandatory my fiance and I talk each day. Maybe I am raising red flags. But I will not leave a stone unturned in my attempt to get her here faster. We even talked about marriage when I was there, but my trip was not long enough nor could I extend my trip due to business reasons. Both my fiance and I wanted to marry while I was there.

There is a chorus from a song: "I want you to be more then just a memory, I want you in my life to stay, I'll need you tomorrow, just like I need you today. When life takes it toll, Lord knows it will hurt my soul to lose someone like you. I want you to be more then just a memory, and if I can help it, I'll do all that I can do." If I am told to wait, I will wait. But as long as there is a door, a window, a chance, I will not leave one stone unturned. If you want to know why: because in one week with her in the village, I felt more loved then I had in 10 years of marriage and one horrible divorce. I never wanted to be away from her the whole time I was there. And she never once wanted to be away from me. when you have found someone who loves you so much, so wonderfully, would you be "willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause" such as her? She is my impossible dream. A girl I prayed for my ex would become while I was married (my ex withheld all of her love for years, and tried to completely ruin me financially and in my career hoping I would want a divorce but I still loved her until she asked for a divorce. Then I prayed for a girl who would love me completely. No matter how much she loves me, I will never ever tell her to stop loving me in her way. I wish everyone tohave their finace with them soon. But to me I have found my greatest treasure, my most valuable treasure. I have become the rishest man in the world ;) I not only want her here with me. I NEED her.

I'm familiar with your reasons you've mentioned for an expedite, but I doubt they will result in acceptance of your request for an expedite. I do wish you luck with your request.

went to phoenix office... thye ad no information to give me, just in processing. told me to file a service request.... AHAHA.... called to file a service request.... not out of the timeline.... is there a way to request a review... no. who decides the expedite? the ADJUDICATOR DECIDES in reviewing the case. THERE is NO DENIAL issued, the case follows NORMAL processing. If there is NO DENIAL issued, the supervisor or director DOES NOT review the denaial... it just goes quietly on by.... And no matter how hard you beat down the door, you cannot get through to anyone for a review of the ajudicator's decision NOT to expedite your request. So if you filed an expedite and hear nothing, it is the "silent" way of keeping things in process.... it keeps work out of hte supervisor's hands having to review the rejects.....

In a way I feel so beaten.... each day I keep on hoping, and hoping this wlll be the day.... but I am realizing that the day will not be for another 90 days.....and ten there is the process after that which takes another 90 days, and the process of waiting for hte visa.... guess I am just having a very, very, very blue monday after being over at her relatives house seeing everyone who is from her village but not her... meeting friends of her dad, people who knew her...

Sorry to see that you're hurting man; but we tried to tell you that you were, in a sense, going to slaughter (meaning your meeting would only make you feel worse). We all tried so hard to warn you... This process takes MANY months, not just a few. This website, and the timelines therein are evidence of that. As painful as it may be, you just have to wait. There is NOTHING we can do. But good things come to those who wait... I'm in the VSC November group, and guess what? This morning I got my email that my petition was approved!! After only 5 months and 2 weeks. That is a miracle for VSC. Somehow, I got to be one of the Novembers that slipped through with the mid-Octobers they currently seem to be processing there.

I wish you the best.. I feel for you both only because I am aware of the poverty in my country. You have a big heart and in a perfect world, no one should have to wait this long to be with the one they love. Too bad we live in this screwed up world, and this screwed up USCIS system. The only advice I can give is that this too shall pass, and you will be together. I know the wait sucks but it will happen. Goodluck! ^.^

My fiancé comes from an island in the east Samar providence with no electricity and no running water. Just a staw hut, and they are the happiest people I have ever met. They have lived that way for thousands of years. Your fiancé's family is not going to starve, they have survived and have lived there lives long before they gave you permission to court their daughter.

Yes, they are the happiest people I have met. I think people need to understand it is NOT the starving I am worried about. It is the rebel activity in the area. the southern islands are a huge hotbed of issues. there are many rebel factions down there with ties to terrorist groups the US is fighting in other parts of the world. It is not an area to tread lightly or just dismiss things. The area is under a "state of emergency" by the Philippine government. $0 reporters killed in 2009, teachers taken ostage, chinese business attempted to be abducted, NPR personnel shot in Butuan, Bus bombing west of cagayan de oro, and the list goes on... They are poor, extrememly poor. the poverty level there is bad. when cassava is considered a meal 3 times a day when there is no fish to catch. and most meals are tamban and rice 3 times a day. or just rice and vegetables. There is one well next to an abandoned fish pond. (who knows how clean the water is) electric is intermittent, goes off all of the time. and catching fish is sometimes a joy, most of the time they don't even get a full box. Think of 500php as something of a joy to get. many times there is not even that much for 7 people for a week or longer. Tis family is so poor, they have never ever bought a 50kg sack of rice. Many times they buy rice and food on credit, get a few good cataches and pay off the credit, then go back in debt again. For all I know he may be in deep debt.

California is approval people fast. I would have given anything for my petition to have been sent there. I am hitting my six month mark in a few days. The best quote I read somebody say on this website was, " the longer the wait only builds more evidence for the interview". Does she have any family in Manila or Cebu? Even distant family? I definitely hear you on that. It can pretty scary down there in that area. I love my girl's family like crazy, they don't have the money or food problem anymore since I can in the mix, but my first impression was a lot like you mentioned in earlier post. It broke my heart to see them have to live that way because they didn't have a choice. I am committed every month to sending 10kphp and every year a medical and dental exam and cleaning. They think they are so lucky to have me, but really I am the lucky one to be apart of their family. To see how they live and how happy they are, makes me feel ashamed of how spoiled myself and america really is.

Hi,

I sympathize with your case and totally can relate.

My fiance is in Ivory Coast and there is war which broke down there couple of weeks ago. There was political unrest for 5 months before that: No expedite possible for him or my brother in law !!!(My sister is also applying for her husband) [i know my timelins says naturalization but it is long story].

Anyways, I understand your point, my do not sweat it so much before the first 4 months because it is likkely that nothing happens and you will jjust get stressed for somehting that you cannot control. Sorry to say. This is life for many people outside of the US.

BTW, even if you fiancee comes, you might have to continue sending money to her family so that doesn't cut it.

Sorry for the bad nnews.

She will be here soon.

Yes, I know I am pounding on doors. And getting beaten up for it. Being told to take the dejection of it. Jstu wait your turn like everyone else. My problem is I lived in DC for a few years and grew up in southern virginia. I learned how DC Politics worked. i studied Thomas Jefferson, and others. i am not one to just sit back. I go through the process of things. I try the doors and windows. rattle bars, and shake locks, Since my last post, one of my senators has taken my case on. there is going to be a senate inquiry. Now the bell has been rung. I may not get any action from my case, but I am not going to stop just because my case is approved or unapproved. I have done much, much research. the K-1 visa came from the McCarran–Walter Act. one of the 3 types: 1. immigrants with special skills or relatives of U.S. citizens who were exempt from quotas and who were to be admitted without restrictions;

the other two were quotas, and refugees. there have been amendments and changes to protect issues and problems. however, the spirit still continues but the process has become muddied. time for a "miracle maid"
