My Daughter - a Canadian Citizen- proceeded on K1 Visa to USA and married her fiance- a US Citizen.

She is now in process of applying to Adjust status on I 485, EAD etc and submitting requisite documents, among them the I 131 Advance Parole

We her parents being here she wants to travel back and forth a few times before she gets her permanent resiidence- which may take a few months

I 131 asks for applicant to provide " departure date", "expected length of trip" as well as to "how many trips do you intend to use this document"

We want to get a multiple visit document and each visit could last 2-3 weeks- exact dates/duration are not predicatable

Would there be any problem in this?

Also for more one trip- I 131 wants applicant to attach a sheet of paper to "explain how you qualify for an Advance Parole document as required under Part 7 of Form I- 131 and "the circumstances to warrant issuance of advance parole".

Being so near - in Canada- she wants to visit more than once.

What justification is expected by the US Immigration?

Anyone has gone through this?

thanks for your responses

regards

I-131 Advance Parole is routinely approved for AOS applicants. If you did deeper in the instructions, it says that an AOS applicant does not need to provide a reason for travel. You can put "unknown" for the dates." There is nothing to really "prove" for an AOS applicant. Good luck to her!

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
