Hey guys, I just checked CEAC website and my status has changed to

" Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days."

Yesterday my status was something like "ready to book an interview with Montreal" and the case creating date changed from April to yesterday's date...

Does it mean that hopefully there'd be good news next Monday/Tuesday?

ISSUED!!! At long last! I wasn't even going to check my status until Monday because I figured there would be no activity over the weekend. But checking CEAC has become an hourly ritual for the past 5 weeks that I clicked the bookmark by reflex and could not believe my eyes! Hallelujah!

congratulations!!!!.... aaaaand we were ISSUED TOOOOOOOO!!!!!! On Saturday as well!! We were absolutely shocked and couldnt believe our eyes this morning!!!! You just can never figure these people out! on a saturday!? Anyway hope this brings hope to everyone who is waiting!!! Seems they are starting to at least process some of the really old cases! The wait is agonizing so i'm sending good vibes to those waiting weeks (over a month) like we were.

FYI for those still waiting.... I don't know if this was any kind of sign but our status update date had not budged for quite a while unless we inquired but it updated on its own on thursday (was still one READY) and i was hoping it would be a sign that something was added to our file and would issue soon.

Hopefully the passports ship soon!

So cool, congrats! our appointment was last Monday (13th) and our status update changed to the 17th(on the Friday) on its own... the consular said I get my passport back within a week at the interview, but now I am just wondering if sending an email today (a week later) is a good idea.. I try to keep busy, but really, I feel like a zombie pretending not to think about CEAC.

A lot of people in this thread are still waiting for their passports even though it's long overdue. :(

I don't think the consulate will give you any answer regarding the status...probably a general one if you are lucky enough. I might be wrong.

When did you case get created on CEAC website? My interview was July 10 and my case was created on July 16. I am suppose to get an update on CEAC since it says check in 2 business days but oh well, might be too optimistic.

Good luck and let me know if you hear anything back from the consulate. I know it's frustrating but there's nothing much we can do other than waiting.

good luck. it'll be 2 weeks for me by the end of this week. I know it must be more frustrating for you.

Does it make a difference what creation date we have as long as you approved we should get our passport and visa within two weeks.
