Does anyone know where I can obtain an example of a letter stating that my fiance is single and free to be marry? Also do I send in that letter or form with my I-129F package?

I think it is the Letter of Intent you are talking about? :)

Go to http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples and it is the second one on the list - hope this is what you are looking for?

I got one. It just states your finance is single and allowed to marry. It's written in Lao, translated in English and it's to be submitted with the I-134 information. It must be stamped by the Village Chief. It will probably do you no good here in the US and not necessary to send with your I-129F. You have to get this done in Laos per the Village Chief Seal of approval.

Move to K1 forum?

Yes  . Moved from Finding Work in America Forum to K-1 Visa Process forum as a more appropriate location for this discussion.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

You don't need to send this with the I-129f. If you did. You would need translated versions and someone to sign off on this stating they are both fluent in English and Lao. It's more headache than it's worth. Also, the Visa Instructions for Fiance Visa Application checklist(From US Embassy Lao) does not have this item on it. I can send this to you. However, you will not submit the letter until you're ready to submit your I-134 package to the embassy. I'll have to scan this and send to you later.

when i went to laos my fiance had a letter typed up in english and laos with a official seal from an authority. he had two of these made so i could have an original and him too. we also are doing the one requested by the I-29F which is the Fiance Letter of Intent. he sent a lao and english version of Fiance Letter of Intent.

we have a guy that does this stuff do all the paperwork and translate it from english to lao and vice versa. you guys could always get someone like that to do it. altho it's expensive because with this guy if you guys are successful you do pay him a sum. he's helping my fiance thru the process.

iishin, thanks for the info. i have yet to send my I-29F and 325A so it's good to know.
