After reading multiple personal experiences on the questions ask at the spousal/fiance interview, most are very generic and straight forward but one question seems to always be ask.... " has your spouse/fiance been married previously and if so, how many times?".... My question is...does anyone know of any examples where this question came into play in denying a visa. Has anyone heard of a denial because of multiple divorces?

Please..no opinions or moral judgements.. I'm only interested in facts..Thanks :)

I have never heard of Visa being denied because of multiply divorces. I known a few guys personally who had 3 divorces and it was not a issue. You just have to be free and legal to be married and that all that matters.

Possibly it is more of the case that they want to know that you know your fiance so they ask a question that fiance or spouse should know if everyone was truthful in the relationship. I don't think the actual number has any real bearing on the process.

Since the answer given from a Philippines member is the same as mine why does it matter? Should I change my flag for every answer I give so someone thinks they are getting "personalized" info?

I think the CO will just be asking that question to see if you have been listening to your spouse. Really, just the facts are what they're interested in, not the gossip....unless you volunteer it that is!! Here is a link to the Consular Interview Guide from wiki........ "The Link" It has some good advice in it.....just remember to relax and smile....it will put you at ease. Best of luck!!

really, then why do you keep asking one member what they know about divorce in the Philippines? it has nothing to do with the reply they gave to the OP.

There's no divorce anyway here in the Philippines, ONLY ANNULMENT.

And if ever that question at the very top will be raised during the interview, an honest and genuine answer will just be given.

Why worry a lot just tell what you know and prove its a genuine relationship.

This thread is going nowhere,if someone has no information to provide and nothing beneficial answer to give, better leave and ignore a thread.

Sounds like you can do a DCF at USEM!

You shouldn't have any problems with your divorce records.

More problems qualifying financialy maybe.

Also showing 3 years of filinf taxes.
