I came here on an F-1 visa a few years ago. I got married in September and finished school in December and therefore my I-20 expired. We applied for adjustement of status and i just received my ead and my interview will be end of april. I want to apply for a ssn so i can finally start working and make use of my degree, lol.

I looked up the things they want to see and it says i-94 that is valid and the passport. My i-94 says d/s since its duration of status. And if that is the case they want to see the i-20. My i-20 is obviously expired but my student visa is not unil end of the year. I am not applying to work as a student though.

Is it okay to just bring them my german passport and my ead or will they make a big deal about the i-94

Any ideas?

I think you should try going there with your passport and your ead. When I went there last week all they wanted was two proofs of ID. I don't have a valid passport so I used my birth certificate and my EAD and got my ssn card monday.

2 photo ID's (Passport and EAD) was needed here to and EAD allows you to work and it is what the Social Security Office needs.
