We sent my daughter's N-400 application to Phoenix, AZ yesterday (03/22/11).

It's been a long 5 years, and hopefully Seattle office will work quickly. She's moving in September to start Dental Hygiene school somewhere in Washington (wherever she gets accepted) and it would be easier if it's all over and done with before she moves and starts school.

Wish us luck!!!!!

Hey, I remember meeting you in the ROC section, weren't you ahead of us? Stepdaughter has a scholarship to study in Liverpool, she will lose her green card if she goes, she should be getting her certificate today.

I assume your daughter also turned barely 18 when you applied, oh well, another 1,350 miles of driving and another 680 bucks with even more stress about a decision cannot be made at this time. She has a very common Latin American name that didn't help. She was quite the challenge, coming here with very little knowledge of the English language, but unlike her mom with a beautiful accent, she is strictly American and is on the high honor roll. LOL, feel worn out, but today, I am very proud of her.

Just an update... my daughter had her biometrics appointment on May 3/11.... we were in and out of the Seattle office in less than half an hour.

Her interview is scheduled for June 27/11.

AND.... she got accepted into Dental Hygiene school, so this should be all finished by the time she starts in September.

Wish her luck at the interview!!!!

Thought my stepdaughters' interview would be a snap, but then was asked to bring in proof of payment of a minor traffic violation when she was asked if she had any that was over three years old. Took that to make her wise about all those Homeland Security cops running around here. So she got a decision cannot be made at this time. Chased all over getting that proof, but then they didn't want it, but wanted to answer to battery charges against her when she was 17 months old. Our senators office straightened them out on that.

But it was a hectic three weeks, she did get her certificate, US passport, and scholarship to study in Liverpool.

Just saying if your daughter has any minor traffic violations, may be good to get proof they were paid to save all that nonsense.

I armed her with all of her tax transcripts since she started working, her 4.0 GPA reports, her membership in the high honor roll society, but her IO didn't want to see any of those. Besides her green card, got a notice to bring in her state drivers' license, showed that, but would think since she had one, her traffic violation was paid, in our state, if you don't pay that fine, they take away your license.

Hope none of that happens to your daughter, if I knew that was going to be made an issue of, would have gotten that proof first.
