Hello all! What a great site! I'm just beginning this process to bring my fiance to the US from the Philippines and everything here has been super helpful!

Couple quick questions:

1) For the $340 fee, who do I make the check out to? USCIS?

2) Do all submissions go through the Dallas lockbox? I can't seem to figure out if I need to send my package there or to a specific location IE Vermont which is physically closest to me.

3) For picture evidence I only have digital photographs. I have have places them two to a page in a word doc with name/date/location captions. I plan on printing them out in full color... is this sufficient or do I need to physically get the digital photographs printed and then attached to the page?

4) Is there a preferred way the like to receive the package? IE 1 large envelope, a ring binder, a top down file etc?

I'm sure I'll have more questions, but these are the ones I ran into on my first draft! Thanks so much for the help!

Thanks!

Brian

Most questions here are answered in the instructions for the forms. Please read the instructions and check the guides again so you are not missing anything else.

3. you can print them on printer paper and lable them, it does not have to be actual photos.

4. Do not do anything fancy, just use paper clips. In a large envelope the whole package and mail it.

1. Yes $340 to USCIS but name it completely, dont use the acronym.

2. Yes you will send your k1-packet to Dallas not in Vermont or Cali. It should be Dallax. Though your k1-packet will be routed either to Vermont or Cali depending on where you at.

3. Digital photos are good.

4. Large envelope will do and just label everything. The main thing is, you need to make it neat and easy for anyone who will adjudicate your case.

the instructions on the I129f will tell you who to make the check out to and where exactly to send it. I used this for tips on how and what to send. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

I just paper cliped each individual section and used a big rubberband to hold all of it together and placed in a big envelope.

in note to 1 - On the instructions we printed, it said to make it out to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security", unless living in Guam or the Virgin Islands. Might want to double check that.

The cheque should actually be made out to United States Department of Homeland Security, unless things have changed since my fiance petitioned in May?

Oops, sorry, just saw that someone else said that right above me.

I think the check question has been answered pretty well.

other answers:

Printing two to a page is good but ONLY in full color with dates and people in the photo.

Also, you need chats, phone bills, boarding passes, receipts, etc

As for tte package, there are very specific instructions:

1) cover letter (everything below should follow the outline in the letter of what is enclosed.) The sould leaf through everything and be able to check it off as they go),

2) i29f with check or money order

3) email notice with first page of i-129f

4) bio information for you

5) bio information for spouse

6) birth certificate

7) passport copy

8) letter(s) of intent

9) evidence

boarding passes

taxes if taxes paid

receipt for plane tickets

hotel receipts

spending receipts

photos of meeting, kissing, engagement, family with notes on time and where

webcam photos

phone bills

emails

chats

journal of times on webcam

This is according to CSC.
