Need some suggestions

Hi VJ friends, I am still patiently waiting for my NOA1 they recieved it on the 7th in Chicago Lockbox, still no email or txt, some people recieved notification in like 3 to 4 days, I use money order so can't track if its been cashed, Did anyone experience the same thing? im getting a bit worried.

Hi and welcome to the adjustment of status world,

don't worry if you don't get any txts or e-mails, I initially submitted for getting informed that way when I send in the AOS package and I never received an e-mail until I had my NOA1 in hand and filled out an online profile on their webpage to get status updates.

They may receive an application a few days after you sent it, but its pretty common that it takes sometimes 2 weeks before they acknowledge it and send out their confirmations. If there's one thing I learned from the whole process, it's a lot of patience - try to find something to distract you, as you never know the workload of the USCIS offices - I read people having their biometrics already a few weeks after they applied for AOS but I didn't have one until way later.

Why, because the local office (ASC) who does fingerprints was not having any appointments available or no staff to take care of it or any other reason. What I want to say is, there is no standard here that you can compare yourself to, unless you know someone who filed around the same time in your neighborhood with same offices working on your filing. The mailbox after all is your best friend, as once you have an envelope in your hands it's real, status updates or even "touches" aka updates you can see online when they supposed to have done something on your application are unreliable.

Were on da same boat my friend! I filed march 3rd and NO NOA yet. No need to worry coz from what i heard, it usually takes 30days.. Some filers receive it a week or 2 and some dont but it doesnt mean its a bad sign.

March 3rd filer here too.. I just called USCIS and they told me just to wait coz it hasnt been 30days since i filed my AOS Package. I tried askin them to help me check if my package is delivered, buy they wont do any action. As per USCIS, we recieve NOA receipts within 30days, and if its more than 30days thats the right time to get worried. So i guess for now, lets just try to be patient.

Im from CA too, San Diego area. Its been 15 days for me and i called USCIS and they told me the same thing.

same here i been checking my email non stop and been waiting for the mailman everyday hoping ill have the letter im waiting for, im so worried i been dreaming about it lol, i'll keep everyone posted

We sent our AOS package in on Dec 20th and received our NOA1 in the mail on Dec 27th. We're located in SC. I've heard that it can take up to 30 days.

We're in the same boat. I submitted my application on the 8th, and they received it on the 10th. It's been driving me insane cuz some of my forms don't have barcodes on it . I was so dumb, for not checking the printer settings. I called and informed them(3/18) that I haven't received anything and some of the forms are missing barcodes. She just told me it takes 30 days, and if I don't hear anything from them, then I can call again. I followed Myopia's advise and re-did all the forms again, just in case they send it back to me. I was thinking this is causing the delay of my application. I'm from San Jose, CA.
