Interview in Greer, SC

My wife had her interview in Greer, SC today, she passed. Per the lady that interviewed her she has to wait until they have a courtroom oath ceremony because she is changing her name. They have those twice a year, so it could be soon, or ???

Well on to the interview information:

She was sworn in first thing.

The woman that interviewed her did not ask to see anything, she went line by line through the petition, had her sign the front of her pictures (with her new name), and sign the paper for the name change and then on to the tests.

The questions:

1. What did the Declaration of Independance do?

2. How many Justices are there on the Supreme Court?

3. Name one branch or part of the government?

4. If both the President and Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

5. We elect a U.S. Senator for how many years?

6. What does the President's Cabinet do?

The reading test:

When is Columbus Day?

The written test:

Columbus Day is in October.

She said that the woman was very nice and had a calming demeaner that put her at ease.

While waiting I watched as people walked in a made Infopass appointments and were seen immediately. The office is small and was empty most of the time. The people in the "lobby", security and the lady working the window, were very nice and answered some of my questions while I was waiting.

That is it, we were only there for 40 minutes walk in to walk out.

Wow you were sent to the Greer office? We live in Simpsonville and have had to go to Charlotte for the 3 biometrics trips and were assuming they'd send us to Charlotte for my wife's interview as well. So that's good there's still hope that we can get it done locally. She's not going to change her name so maybe the oath can be taken there as well.

My wife had her interview last Thursday and she passed 100%! We got there early and there were only 2 people in the waiting room. She got called in 10 min early and were finished within 20 minutes! So hopefully we'll hear about the oath ceremony soon. We want to invite her mom over before our daughter's bday on July 16th.
