Can i travel after NOA2?

I know what the deal is with travelling to the us after NOA1, but is it any different after NAO2?

I may not have to do it depending on certain things, but a circumstance may arise that i will have to.

Has anyone done this? Is it any diff to after NOA1??

Ben after NOA2 which is the approval of the petition you need to be in the UK to get all your paperwork medical and stuff together for your interview. Depending on how long you were going to be away for but you would need to be there for mail and instructions and such

Hi Ben,

I travelled to the US just under a month after receiving our NOA2 and I didn't have any problems at immigration. I did apply for my police certificate before my trip though, as I knew I'd be needing it (just as well, as the first one they sent vanished in the post!). I was in the US for 3 weeks and a few days after I got home I received packet 3 from the London Embassy, so the timings were pretty good in my case!

I would advise you to take proof of ties to the UK if you travel, such as a letter from your employer stating when you are due back at work, maybe a rental agreement or mortgage info depending on your situation. I took a letter from my boss but was never asked for it. Hope this helps!

My fiance/husband came to the US after NOA2 because he had already booked a ticket and the approval came a little faster than we expected. Then it began to look like he would probably get an interview assigned during his trip (based on timelines). He requested an interview after xx-xx-xxxx date in a cover letter with his Packet 3 forms, saying he would be in the US until that date. And it all worked out.
