Hi

I have a question you the forum...

My niece went over seas and was married .

Is there a time line for the I 130 to be filed after she got back ???

Any advise would be helpful.

Just look at the top of the page under Guides and choose the correct one...I would recommend choosing CR1 as the K-3 is not used as much or anymore..kind of unsure of that...we filed CR1 Visa...the guides take you thru the entire journey with examples as well of the forms you send.

Good luck to her and her new husband!

EAbbas didn't understand your question. No, there's no timeline for how soon she should file or how long to wait to file. File when ready.

Forget the K3. It's no longer available. CR1 is the currently available spouse visa.

Ok, correction. EAbbas understood your question but chose not to answer it. FYI, the guides are great but don't answer this question.

Wow...im trying to just simply give a little direction and your the most condescending person... you could have simply answered her question without pointing fingers at other ppl...i did nothing wrong!!!!!! ....i thought she may like to read the guides as well and look at all the form examples...you may feel you know a great deal but your very rude and that simply was out of line...this isnt a place nor a time to create issues between members... doesnt mean she wouldnt need the guides info...

this isnt the first time ive seen you post like this either to many many ppl...can you just please answer questions and give helpful information without making sure you put other ppl down?????

Not putting anybody down. Just pointing out that for some reason, you didn't answer the question asked and that the answer is not in the guides. You did NOTHING wrong. You just pointed the OP to a place where the answer to their actual question could not be found. The guides are wonderful, important for petitioners and other interested parties to read but simply do not answer all questions, including the one asked by the OP.

IMO, when people don't know the answer or choose not to give the answer, they are more helpful by waiting for others to reply with more useful information. The OP is neither a petitioner or beneficiary and has no need we are aware of to study the process or the guides. They asked a specific question in behalf of a potential petitioner.
