Hi.. I have a friend who's preparing I-29f and all other docs needed to be submitted by her usc bf (and I'm her sort of adviser 'coz I went through the process myself). Now we got into a confusion on whether or not she would include the I-134 (Aff of Support) on the initial submission. I told her you don't have to, just bring that on the interview. But she said she read somewhere that it is needed. Is it really? 'Coz I didnt and mine was ok no RFEs whatsoever.

If she should include, is it okay to send a photocopy of the attachments?

If she brings it with her on the interview, is it okay if the attachments are photocopies/fax too?

No you do not include it. Whatever she is reading is wrong. The I-134 is to be filled out around the time of the NOA2 and to be sent to the beneficiary with the supporting evidence. Thos things must be dated as close to the interview as possible or you will have an RFE for new updated forms and evidence. They must have all original signatures where needed.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

See embassy web site to download the P 3 instructions. There you will see when the support form is required.

You mean packet 3? Does that really exist? Because when I was filing, I did not receive that.

Thank you. This is really helpful in convincing her. :)

Manila doesn't mail out the packet 3 anymore it seems. They have everything you need on the USEM website for people to download themselves instead of having to mail it. I would guess its because that is more reliable than the mailing system in the Phils?

This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here.
