I know a month or so ago the processing time was starting to get quite long - and I know there is a chart showing the estimated times - but I didn't know if there was anybody who had any actual experience with the VT processing times recently?

Also - is the estimated processing time just for them to view the petition - or does this include the medical exam & interview as well?

I am trying to estimate (not for wedding planning, just for my own sanity) how long I might have to wait until my fiancee can FINALLY be with me!

You're looking at about 5-6 months to get through vermont and another 1-2 months to get through the interview. So all in its running about 6-8 months. Ours will be just shy of 7 months to the interview. Once approved the visa should be ready in a day or so.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Actually, this could be your first big test as a couple to see how you each cope.

While this has been true, the processing times are progressively slower so it's more like 6-7 months in Vermont, then 1-2 months at the embassy (actually, if you are from Canada, it's more like 3-5 months there); all in all, it's between 7-9 months from start to finish.

But some cases are getting approved in less than a month. My case took 192 days.
