we have just completed 5 months of getting the NOA1. On feb 21 2011, we completed exact 5 months. Any idea, when we can expect to get the NOA2.

Even the date in "Immigration Timelines" section of Visa Journey website is not moving ahead. I am waiting for this date to come to 21 Sep 2010, but its still stuck between 13th sep to 17th sep. The day it touches 17th sep, it comes down to 13th sep on the next day.

Is anyone here who is facing this problem too?

Regards,

Jaspreet

wasnt it 5 months?

even the uscis says that the average time is 5 months... this is so annoying...

1 more month...??

each day is passing like a month.. lol

Indeed it does say 5 months on their site. However, they won't change it as they really want their goal to be 5 months or under and it would be a setback if they changed it.

Basically they are 'ignoring' the problem and pretending like it isn't there. SO if you contact your Congress persons, print and highlight the areas on their site that say "if states 5 months, this means petitions are approved in 5 months or less (lie)" and highlight when it was last updated, which would be February 14.

Remember, you paid a fee for this. It isn't free so they have no excuse to screw around like they are. You and everyone else is entitled to a speedy process. The U.S. government is there to serve the people (so they claim).

hear hear! totally agree. also you can call the choads at USCIS and escalate the call. say there has been an error in processing from the USCIS's side (true since they say on their website 5 months and it has clearly been longer than that). that will prompt them to do a service request to find out where your application is. Also, you can book an infopass appt with your local USCIS office. here you get to talk to an actual human USCIS officer who peers into your file and can tell if you there are any issues. they are not adjudicating officer; just can tell you if there's anything wrong. a lot of times that helps and they are also much nicer and can put in service requests too. often times this "jarrs" the system. the moment i did these things, I got an approval. as a matter of fact, last year march 15th, i had an infopass. march 16th, i got the email/text saying my case was approved. so go figure...all I know is that it worked. best of luck!
