i got my case number finally after 30 days.. pls roll the red carpet nvc coz were coming better watch out no space for longer patience this time haha..

Have you called USCIS and spoke with a tier 2 rep to check the status of your case? I would have never even known about my RFE if I hadn't called as the website never updated.

Yes, Trevor got his citizenship on 8 July so he called straight away to upgrade the petition and then again to see if they had actioned it. He spoke to a Tier 2 rep both times because I had read on here so many times about how important that was. They really couldn't (or wouldn't) tell him anything but he has now received the notice of his request for the upgrade so we are hoping that once they pull the file to do that they will just approve us (or RFE us!) while they have it in front of them. We live in constant hope in this process don't we?

I'm worried about my divorce decree now but I think that if they do RFE us for that I will do what others on here have suggested and get him to send in a colour copy so they can see the red stamp and also highlight the bits that show it is the Decree Absolute - I scanned it this afternoon so it's ready to go if needed! I have seen some people say that they got someone at the court to sign and date the stamp but to be honest anyone could do that and it's not the norm for UK decrees to be signed so they ought to accept them unsigned. Some people seem to have had no problem with their unsigned decree.

Does it have to be a color copy? I have a b/w copy with me that I can highlight and send in, it also has the stamp on it.

Or should I wait a couple weeks until I can get the color one?

I don't want to rush but I would really like to get to the next step.

I don't think it has to be colour, I just think that if they can see the red stamp it gives added weight to it being the official document. I would definitely include a cover letter pointing out that this is what UK divorce decrees look like and that they are not signed. Might help us when they dig our file out from the bottom of the pile!

Well I am going to send it off in b/w and hope for the best. Worst case they don't accept it and I have to send in the color one. I should know if it is accepted, fingers crossed, before the hubby brings home the original.

As for getting your application out of the bottom of the pile, I am more than happy to help any way I can

I just called NVC again and they said wait 15 business day from the time USCIS sent them the petition which was july 5. OMG IM GETTING VERY ANNOYED, I DONT HOW IT COULD TAKE THAT LONG JUST TO MAIL A PETITION.

I find it strange that people talk about how rude the people are there when they speak to them because everyone I speak to is always nice lol. We were laughing this morning. Anyway she told me that now that she had both the emails we would receive the billing notices that way. I'm going to have john send the the email to show me as the agent. Then I guess wait for the bills to come. One step closer!

Congratulations - finally 6/16 NOA2 are getting their case number. How did you come know of this - from the operator or from the automated message or through an email!

I called and it was listed on the automated system so then I just hit 0 and spoke with a rep and she verified the number and gave me the IIN. She verified my email and I gave her my husbands email and just said that the bills will come via email since they have both of them.

If you don't hear it by the end of the week I would probably talk to a rep just to make sure it's not there and that the automated system is correct. I have a hard time trusting machines so I would once a wk during the past month spk with an actual rep just to verify that they really DIDNT have it.
