my wife is the USC and I am the petitioner,

current poverty line is about 18k

1. Part 1 line 1) my wife supposed to write my last name or her maiden name, she hasn't gone to the social security office to change her last name yet? and most likely won't be going before we send the applications, would that create any problems?

2. Part 5 line 21), numbers are 01, 1 and 1 adds up to 3, but it's just me and my wife, shouldn't it be 2?

3. Wifes 2010 income was $33,426.

so on 25) we checked the first one and only entered the 2010 tax year (most recent) and total income as $33,426. we didn't enter anything on 2nd most recent and 3rd most recent lines and we also won't submit the tax transcripts for 2009 and 2008 (actually we have them)

Submitting 2010 tax transcript is suffice right?

Put 00 on 21.© because you are already listed as 01 in 21.(a)

You are suppose to fill the 2nd and 3rd most recent Total Income. You are only required to show the most recent tax transcript only. The 2nd and 3rd tax transcript are optional but would be helpful.

Don't forget to include the recent W-2.

Submitting the 3 most recent tax transcripts does offer firm proof that the sponsor has complied with the requirement to have filed those returns. If you've got them, send them.

Current and continuing income is what is most important. Don't worry if the income in those years is low if the current income (2010 and present) meets the requirement.

In your case the income variation is certainly normal and expected. Recent grads often have lower income during the school years.

I would clarify again because the c in parenthesis became a symbol for copyright :)

Put 00 on 21.c because you are already listed as 01 in 21.a
