The number of companies planning to hire is at its highest level in a decade, and a group of important economists are more optimistic about U.S. economic growth this year than they were last year, finds a new survey.

A January survey by the National Association for Business Economics shows economists expect the Gross Domestic Product to grow by 3.3 percent in 2011. The same survey in November predicted 2.6 percent growth.

“NABE's January 2011 Industry Survey confirms that the underpinnings of the U.S. economy continue to strengthen,” said Shawn DuBravac of the Consumer Electronics Association, in a release. "The number of firms expressing positive hiring plans is at a level not seen in over a decade—a sign of improving labor-market dynamics. Supporting these hiring plans, industry demand continues to move higher, and profit margins are expanding.”

Things picked up a bit in January, but dropped off somewhat in February. This $4.00/gallon gas is already having an effect on what started out as a promising year. If it hits $5.00/gallon, at the end of March, kiss any hope of any new hires good-bye.

Well that is great to hear. After Obama the Socialist spends TRILLIONS of dollars of deficit spending it is good to see some good news finally. No matter if that he would not have spent that much that we would be in much better shape way before now.
