prepaid gift card to pay?

i had a student account and never got around to opening a new normal account.

i only just noticed il have to pay with a card for the courier and interview......the interview is over the phone so im gonna have my mother do that for me,i assume that will work.

but as i have to pay the courier by card,in the embassy.....will they accept a visa gift card to pay with? i cant think of any other way of being sure il have a card to pay with?

Your allowed to use your Mums credit card in the Embassy at the Courier desk. Just means your Mum would have to let you take it down to London, oh, and she would have to tell you the pin number

she never uses it so she wont mind me borrowing her card to do that.....so that would work at the embassy?

I used my Daughters credit card in the Embassy at the courier desk. If i remember correctly, how it all went at the courier desk, its just like when your in a supermarket and pay with a card at the till. Small machine, slot card in and you type in the pin number. I even told them in conversation that i was using my Daughters card. They didnt bat an eye lid. It was a Visa Debit card. They will hand you a large approx A4 size receipt and explain it to you.

Dont lose that receipt. It has your Courier tracking number etc on it. They will explain all this to you at the Courier desk and mark the need to knows with a coloured pen for you...aye they are that nice! This will enable you to track your documents once the Courier is handed them by the Embassy to deliver to you.

Again not long ago, i dealt with the Dx Courier service, again had no issues to use my Daughters card. Mind you that time, it was just over the telephone.

I guess for your own peace of mind, you could take written authorisation signed by your Mum =)

Sorry... what courier is this that needs to be paid for at the Embassy?! I thought everything was paid over the phone, in advance...?
