Embassy Review : I got to london about 2 hours before my interview,it was at 8am so i was in london victoria at 6. so i decided to walk to the embassy, took about 40 mins and was through green park and things, nice way to try and calm your nerves before the big event i found.
the pharmacy litterally is 30 seconds from the embassy, and when they opened at 7 25,i was there, and out by 7 30. only cost £3. which is great considering they could charge what they like. i would suggest if you dont have your us photos yet,get them here too. there is a machine in the embassy waiting area but as one woman yesterday found out,it can and does break and become out of order.
so anyway got to the security line,a woman checked my interview letter and i was put in another line and ushered forward 4 at a time, where my passport was checked, then it was through the airport type security, through a detector and bag scanned. i took a backpack and was unsure they would allow it.wasnt a problem.
then you get sent to a reception area, here they check your interview letter again (and passport if i remember) and stick a load of little lables to your interview letter. do remember your number, after the first interview they take off all the stickers and i had to ask again what my number was.
anyway i sat in the waiting room, and just got my book out ready for a long wait when the numbers started to get called, they get called fast so i didnt read much.
within 15 mins i was at the first window, a nice english guy. had my file ready for me and just asked for what forms he needed, i gave them all over and had my fingerprints taken, then was given a pink form to fill out for the courier. then he gave back my interview letter, minus my numbered stickers.
so once again setlled back in for another long wait,20 mins later i was up at the second window,a really nice american guy this time. he was chatting to me about my past job while he looked through my file and then before i knew it he was saying 'no problem with you, medical, police or her...you will get your passport back with the visa and a brown envalope....dont open that'. then he just kinda walked off to do what he had to do with my file.
so i payed the courier,i used my mothers debit card, they didnt care at all,i mentioned it and the woman barely registered.
and that was that, left the embassy, ran to the pharmacy and called my fiance.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
