What to do if NOA2 letter doesn't arrive?

So, we got approved on 08th Feb. Hooray for us! We are very happy with that. Now things move faster, right?

She still didn't get any letters, though. No NOA2 in the post yet. I was just wondering if she can call the NVC and find out if our packet has left the US yet? What info does she need? I was under the impression that the NOA2 had a case number on it that she needs to call, what other info can we supply if we don't get our NOA2?

This is all hypothetical, hopefully it will turn up in the next week, but we are quite understandably a bit edgy at the moment and I'm wondering if there's anyone we can call?

Thanks guys!

The NOA1 has the case number. You can call the NVC all you need is the case number the names of petitioner and beneficiary and the birthdays.

The NOA2 is very important for AOS, you need to include a copy of it with the AOS package and yes, if the NOA2 does not show up it may end up costing you quite a bit of extra money for them to mail another copy of it.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Well she should get a letter in a couple weeks after she receives the NOA 2 ...the letter is going to have the case number of her countrys embassy, after that they will call her to let her know that is over there. They usually send a packet with the forms..the packet will have all the instructions and the date of her interview. So you dont need to call.

Actually the person that is in the US gets the letter..but dont worry you will get it soon..its a matter of patience..I was like that before.

Chase down the NOA2 now. Don't wait for AOS time when you will actually need it. Call USCIS and tell them it hasn't been received.

For a blow by blow explanation of what happens now for you (London specific), see the link in my signature about UK help.

Should have gotten it by now. I would call USCIS and inform them you have received your hardcopy and they will mail you another one.

When you call NVC 603-334-0700, they will ask for the EAC number (if that's what you have on the NOA1), then they will give you another case number that you can use to track your case which will be forwarded to the beneficiary's country's consulate. Hope this makes sense.
