Same here! May 18th it is for my fiancee too. We can't believe it. We had some trouble with the website at first, but after I tried it the second time it showed the 2nd and 18th as open dates. 2nd was too soon for us. She hasn't had her medical yet and is still waiting for the vaccine test results. I received the Appointment Confirmation in the mail.

I wonder why the 18th opened up like that? Oh well all that matters is that we're in :)

No packet 4 yet. Thank God for this website where I learned that we could call DOS and find out case status. I know about 3 of those people by name because I called so much. Chris and Anna were very helpful. Some others gave incorrect information and/or were rude. Good luck to all of you who have appointments or are in the "packet process."

Nice! Let's hope these openings keep coming!

I just posted my much too detailed review of Montreal in the Reviews section! I hope it helps calm your nerves and get you ready!

Thanks for the review! I'm so nervous. I'm ready though, the only thing I'm worried about is that I only have the taxes and W2 from the most recent year.

Thats what the instructions called for. I know I will need 3 years worth when I do the AOS but I only got my fiance to send 2010.

We're using a co-sponsor, his dad, my fiance makes enough to cover us but he has 2 small children so he doesnt meet the requirements for a family of 4.

His parents are letting us stay with them when I get there since I won't be working and his dad agreed to sponsor me.

I have his W2 and 2010 tax return as well.

Am I going to run into problems only having the most recent one and not all 3?

Aside from that I'm ready to go, but now I'm freaking out about that!!!!!

I forgot to mention as well as the 2010 tax returns and W2s I also have 3-4 of the most recent paystubs and letters from their employers for both my fiance and our co-sponsor.

Think this is enough?

I'm so tired of freaking out, everything I even start to calm down I find something new to freak out about!!!!

Good luck to all those interviewing this week.

I have a few questions for those through the process ...............

I just booked a medical and they told me they need the letter of confirmation from the Embassy with the case number on it. I have a letter of confirmation from booking on line but it doesn't have my case number on it, just a confirmation number.. The receptionist was very clear that it had to have the case number on it......... what letter did you guys bring to the medical with you?

Also, for those of you who interviewed last week.... have any of you received your visa and passport back yet? Wondering what the time frame is so my fiance and I can plan tentatively a travel date to the US. I know they say within a week but am wondering what the actual experience is out there.

One more question......... do we need to bring any official documents from the ( elusive ) pkt 3 and /or pkt 4 with us for the interview, besides what is stated online. I guess I am asking if I don't receive either before the interview does it matter? ( anything in there that you cant get online? )

Phew ! Questions questions questions....... your help and advice is very much appreciated. Without you guys I would still be waiting for pkt 3!

Thanks guys!

I just did my medical this morning and all they asked of me was my passport, pictures, immunization records and my Packet 4 letter. I had the confirmation of my appointment with me but I wasn't asked for it.

The letter they need is the Packet 4 one. It does have your case number on the 3rd page.
