Nervous about Interview...hmmm

Ok, here's my situation, we had our interview Feb 16th and it was approved. The blonde consular lady said we'd get the passport/visa in a week. I have two issues/concerns.

#1 I only registered for courier services on the USAVisa Info site..I logged in today just shows a reference ID... no waybill #. I used that reference # to try to pop it into the DHL website..shows nothing. That's my first confusion. I know a cpl that went the day before I did...they're visa is ready to be picked up as of this morning. So I would assume mine would at least be in the system.

#2 I didn't receive a Welcome to the USA letter..should I be concerned??

Yup..I'm approved. Just nervous they might pull a fast one do an AP on me or there be a computer glitch..like what happened to one of our VJ'er's. He was in AP for a few weeks when he wasn't supposed to be, due to a computer glitch in their system.

Until I have paper in hand..across on I-75 south outta Detroit, I'm not gonna celebrate. lol

Some people before have said that the DHL wont show anything till the visa has been printed or is actually there at the DHL place to be picked up.

You could always call DOS and ask them if the visa has been printed yet too.

Yeah, a simple phone call to the DOS will tell you whats going on. They have access to montreal's database. They will let you know if the visa is in print or mailed out.

#2 doesn't happen until you cross the border. It'll get sent to the listed address on yer USC Spouse.

for current status, call DoS Hotline (# in my profile, click the girls, read left panel from a PC) and inquire.

Have you called DOS ? If so what did they say?

Call DOS. And one other thing, Make sure you signed up online with the correct Passport number! I had signed up months ago online, and accidentally put in an extra number on my passport. So when they told me to make sure its set up, I log in, and NOTHING was set up! The cookies in my computer showed me the wrong one I typed in! I'm glad I did it right when I left and made sure it was all set up. I had to do it on the hotels network on an ipod touch to set it up, and didn't find out I had it wrong the whole time until I got home!

Ugh..well Wife is calling DOS right now as we speak, waiting to hear back from her. Technically it's been 3 business days because of the holiday yesterday. I've heard in some cases the visa's sit for a week before anyone tells us immigrants they're there ready to be picked up. lol

I didn't get a 'welcome to the USA' letter either at the interview. I also started to freak out around day 4 after the interview and hadn't received the visa. It took mine 10 business days to get the visa

Delivery of a visa varies from person to person. My husband's visa was ready in two business days for pick-up and others don't come for another two weeks. Your best bet is to call DOS to find out what's going on.

DOS said that it was approved. No information on it being printed yet or being mailed out. I suppose we'll have to check back on thursday or friday if the DHL or USA Visa info site doesn't update in the next few days. That's all I know...more sitting and waiting.
