Hi everyone as you can see i am new to here. I was wondering a few things, one about how long does it take to process the 129f? My attorney says it is about 6 months but some of the time lines i seen have been alot longer. My fiance is from Cambodia. I sent in proof we meet and had a traditional engagment ceremony (with goverenment letter stating we are engaged) so I am hoping that helps the process. The other question is how do i post the pic for my profile? I can upload one but it does not show on profile and i am not to computer savy. Thanks in advance for any replies Daniel

It may depend on country but when I visited Georgia, me and the wife were discussing different options with the consulate and they told me I-129 was 3-5 months... after reading these forums I think the time frame is unpredictable

Hello, no guarantee on how long it might take. Some will have it done faster then others. Just keep reading the information and gather all the evidence you can. Save all your phone records and Western Unions if you send money. Some people get approved at 6 months and some might take close to a year. Good Luck.

Honestly sometimes people luck out, other times they do not. I was part of 36,000 june/july applications that were transferred to "speed up processing." But for most of us that meant 7+ months before our petitions were approved and sent to NVC. My petition was just approved yesterday after nearly 7 months. I know that once I graduate to NVC it will be another 3+ months.

But there have also been many lucky groups who's entire process took less than 6 months. Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones :)

My husband's I-129f took about 6 months to be process. Sadly, he was delayed for another month due to missing paperwork. In the end, it took a total of 7 months for the entire process! From my experience, the longest wait was for my petition to be approve (NOA2). Anyways, Good luck and I hope all goes well for you!
